On Monday, October 26, 2026, Minds Capital will return to Dallas for its second annual Investor Day at Cattlemens Bank. The event takes place the day before the McGuireWoods Independent Sponsor Conference and is designed as an exclusive gathering for Minds LPs, portfolio company sponsors, and invited industry guests.

After an inaugural event of roughly 30 to 35 attendees in 2025, this year’s gathering is expected to be meaningfully larger. The day will begin with coffee and networking, followed by a welcome, and Minds Capital update from Niklas James.

Featured Speakers:

Dara Shareef, Board Member and Shareholder, Benchmark International. Dara will bring a seller and intermediary perspective, including how different strategic and financial buyers approach transactions, how independent sponsors can differentiate themselves, and where he sees new opportunities emerging.
Hong Ogle, President, Bank of America Houston, and Division Executive, Private Bank Southeast/Southwest Division. Hong will bring a broader investor, banking, and wealth-management perspective.
Edwin Yun, Founder, Road To Carry.
Andy Rougeot, Search Fund Secondaries Group. Andy plans to discuss liquidity options for search and independent sponsor investors, including secondary sales, tender offers, and call options, drawing on research across approximately 80 deals.

A major part of the afternoon will be a portfolio company sponsor panel led by Will Smith, giving LPs the opportunity to hear directly from sponsors Minds has backed. The panel is being built around sponsors sharing their experiences, perspectives, and lessons from acquiring and building lower-middle-market businesses.
